Chassis Mounting Bracket

The Chassis Mounting Bracket serves as the critical link between the subframe assembly and the vehicle body side rail. We produce this bracket from either QT450-10 ductile iron or ZG270-500 cast steel, both of which offer good vibration-damping properties. Our investment casting process allows us to create complex three-dimensional geometries with integrated reinforcement ribs and mounting bosses. These features are cast as one piece, so we do not need additional welding operations. This single-piece construction gives the product high structural rigidity compared with fabricated assemblies. The one-piece design also eliminates potential weak points that could develop along weld seams over time.

Our foundry operates an automatic sand mixing line to maintain consistent mold quality from one cycle to the next. We melt the iron charge in a medium-frequency induction furnace with temperature control accurate to within ±10°C. For every melt, we measure the carbon and silicon content with a thermal analyzer. We proceed with pouring only after these values fall within our specified acceptance range. After casting, we normalize every Chassis Mounting Bracket to relieve internal stresses that could cause distortion during machining or service. We then apply an electrophoretic coating that achieves Class 1 adhesion in the cross-cut test. This coating passes a 480-hour salt spray test without signs of corrosion or peeling.
